Where to Publish

If you are a researcher investigating personal tutoring and academic advising, you may be wondering where you can publish your work.

UKAT has its own open-access, peer-reviewed journal - Waypoint - A Reflective Journal of Student Advising and Development in Tertiary Education - which accepts contributions in a variety of formats. Waypoint operates an open peer-review process and a rolling online publication, with articles released as soon as they are ready.

There are also numerous other international peer-reviewed journals which accept articles relating to academic advising/personal tutoring. The following is a list of the journals which have published articles on personal tutoring/academic advising since 2002. They are listed in descending order of the volume of personal tutoring/academic advising articles published. Over 100 other discipline-specific journals have also published articles on personal tutoring/academic advising, but each of these has tended to publish only one article in this time period. Unless your study focuses on the context relating to a specific discipline, we would recommend that you target one of the journals listed below to publish your personal tutoring/academic advising research.
