Session Outline

The purpose of this group is to help personal tutors and academic advisors understand the role and value of using technologies in advising to effectively support students at a distance using synchronous and asynchronous approaches/synchronously and asynchronously. This community welcomes all, regardless of your confidence in using technology.

In this meeting at the annual conference we will:

• Provide an opportunity for networking and practice sharing between delegate who use, or would like to use, technology in their advising practice
• Review development of a member survey of the use of technology in tutoring and advising
• Discuss the future direction of the SIG.
