Session Outline

Senior tutor roles vary in both title and nature across the sector, we believe that in sharing and disseminating this information we can identify key features of the role, and share good practice in order to create a cohesive and accepted outline of Senior Tutor practice regardless of title.

At this meeting, which is the second gathering of the Senior Tutor Network SIG, , the focus will be on Senior Tutor models across three different institutions. This will lead to a broader discussion on roles to create an understanding of differing aspects of the role across the sector

The short-term aim of the SIG is to produce a quick guide to Senior Tutoring, which will contain an outline of expected roles and responsibilities, and to develop a community of practice which will allow SIG members to share experiences and good practice.
